my coffee quest first began in the seventies where i discovered coffee to be an affordable, but not particularly pleasant, caffeine delivery system that helped to ply through endless pages of college textbooks to prepare for seemingly endless college exams. after college came a career and the stresses of long work hours, shorter family times and little sleep -there was coffee ready to help once again. i think there's a point in many people's coffee journey where they want more than caffeine out of their coffee cup. this is where the journey takes a turn -this is where i began to really enjoy my coffee in the morning! sure it took a little more effort, especially back then, to freshly grind the coffee and brew with whatever device was inline with my bank account at the time. i took some bantering for my growing obsession, but some became converts along the way. time passed, specialty coffee evolved, but i realized all was not perfect in my coffee cup. the roasters that had always provided my coffee beans were now large corporations who answered to stockholders instead of their customers and my coffee just wasn't as satisfying as that first sip that hooked me years before. i changed suppliers and kept looking for new sources to fulfill my passion for quality coffee. in 2007 while surfing the internet, i realized that my coffee enjoyment had lost a key component -the next step in my coffee quest. it was at that time that i understood what i was trying to regain in my coffee cup -what my now large corporation coffee suppliers were no longer able to provide -high quality roasted coffee that was really fresh! for the next four years i began buying my own green (unroasted) coffee beans and roasting them myself! since that time i've never stopped the pursuit of sometimes interesting, always fresh, quality coffee. now, we’d like to share our passion for great coffee, whether this is the first or the next step in your coffee quest! please click the “contact us” tab above to let us know how we can help equip your journey!
